# QR pre-publish checklist

- [ ] Identify the final exported artifact: filename, version, optional SHA-256.
- [ ] Record the intended normalized payload. Keep private data local.
- [ ] Decode the exported file and compare the complete QR data with the expected payload.
- [ ] Record decoder/version, rasterization, image dimensions and any compression.
- [ ] Distinguish exact match, different data and no QR decoded.
- [ ] For tracking, verify the encoded short link and the final destination separately.
- [ ] Complete the action: open the correct public page, join the intended Wi-Fi network, or inspect imported contact/event fields.
- [ ] Record model, OS and scanner for each relevant device; leave untested rows NOT RUN.
- [ ] Test the final background and actual placement size, distance and lighting.
- [ ] For print, check a physical sample on the intended material and finish.
- [ ] Record failures, change one variable at a time and repeat affected checks.
- [ ] Keep the final artifact and its results together; retest after changes.
